Denver Ski Train Passenger Equipment
The Denver Ski Train was a special passenger scrvice that ran from Denver, Colorado to Winter Park via the Denver &Rio Grande Western's Moffet Line Btween 1987 and 2009 the train ultilized three ex-Amtrak EMD F40PHRs. These units were built from parts from various EMD SDP40Fs. The EMD SDP40Fs served as Amtrak's Original Motive Power for Long Distance Trains until they were replaced by the F40PHs in the 1980s.

Along with these F40PHRs were a set of beautifully matched passenger cars. The ex-VIA Rail Passenger cars were a staple of the Denver Ski Train. These cars were painted in the classic Aspen Gold made famous byt the Denver & Rio Grande Wastern Railroad.

While these cars aren't prototypical of the consist between 1987 to 2009, they are in fact semi-prototypical to the earlier Specials to Winter Pack that the Denver & Rio Grande Western pulled behind their F9s and later their SD40T-2s. The Denver & Rio Grande Western was one of the few Railroads to hold onto their Passenger equipment after the Formation of Amtrak. This Included the iconic budd cars of the California Zephyr. Though the cars were never repainted into the iconic Aspen Gold they were used at times for special trains to Winter Park.

This pack attempts to recreate the Denver Ski Train's Passenger Equipment and combines it with the classic California Zephyr You'll of course need the Western Pacific California Zephyr DLC from DoveTail Game, but it will be well worth it.
